Tractor size for municipal utilities

Mechanical or hydrostatic transmission?

LS tractors offer two types of transmission: mechanical and hydrostatic.
The mechanical transmission (MECH) allows you to change the direction of travel with a single movement of the lever, located next to the steering wheel.
For municipal work, however, we recommend the hydrostatic transmission (HDR) because of its easy operation of the machine, which affects the convenience and comfort of the operator. It is operated by two foot pedals (F3/R3) and allows you to change direction by pressing the appropriate pedal. Specially developed hydrostatic transmission technology significantly reduces fuel consumption and shows a significantly longer service life. It is simple and reliable, which makes it the most popular choice.

Power steering

All LS tractor models are equipped with power steering, which makes driving easier, by means of reducing the force with which the driver has to turn the steering wheel to change the track. When the driver begins to turn the steering wheel, the control electronics receive a signal to activate the power steering. This makes handling and maneuvering simple and safe. The LM1160 grooming mower is dedicated to the M1 series of tractors, namely the LS MT 1.25 model. It is an inter-axle mower, which means that it is mounted between the axles of the tractor. Designed for the care of large areas, mowed regularly. It is ideal for those who care about nicely cut grass in parks, gardens and any green areas. Connecting and disconnecting the unit takes little time, and the operation itself is very easy to perform, even for a less experienced operator.
In addition, the LS Tractor MT 1.25 can be retrofitted with a low or high discharge hopper. This way, the mower will immediately collect the cut grass in the basket – you will save your time, and the surface will be tidy and aesthetically pleasing.
On the other hand, for a more demanding area, a flail mower – called a mulcher – will be a better solution. Some people call it a mower for “special tasks”, because it easily mows tall grass, shrubs, smaller trees, branches, or heavily overgrown areas. An advantage is the ability to open the tailgate when mowing very overgrown areas. The mowed material will be less shredded, but at the same time the tractor will not be stressed as much as when working with the tailgate closed. This is a mower equipped with hammers or Y-blades, which work very well in wasteland.

LS Tractor + Trailer

A versatile farm trailer is a basic and essential farm tool used for any type of work, including municipal work. Thanks to the mobility of LS Tractors with a wide range of trailers, whether single-axle with a maximum payload of 1.5 tons or two-axle with a payload of 2.5 tons, LS Tractors will be helpful for transportation work.

They are used to transport various types of bulk materials. They are ideal for transporting vegetables, fruits, soil and fertilizers, as well as smaller agricultural equipment.
Larger boxes – with a lifting capacity of 300, 500 or 700 kg – are dedicated to tractors of traditional size (MT3, LS Tractor XU 6168) for transporting very heavy and bulky materials.
The comfort of work – for both smaller and larger boxes – will be provided by a convenient pumper, thanks to which they can be emptied very easily and effortlessly.

LS Tractor + loader

The function of loading and unloading materials is performed by a front loader, the so-called TUR, attached to an LS tractor. It is indispensable in any prosperous company. Thanks to its very sturdy construction and well-thought-out design, it is able to carry much more weight than other tractors of similar size and power.
The LL1100 loader can lift up to 527 kg. This is the original front loader dedicated to LS MT 1.25 tractors.
And the LL4104 loader – the original standard front loader dedicated to LS MT 3.50 and LS MT 3.60 tractors – will lift up to 1233 kg.
The LS front loader has a safety valve, which in case of overloading the loader does not allow higher load lifts.

LS Tractor + snow plow

We can attach a straight or arrow snow plow to LS tractors. All you need to do is to match the appropriate working width of the plow to the tractor model. The plow is operated by two or three hydraulic cylinders and requires, similarly, a two- or three-section distributor with a floating section.
To take full advantage of the plow’s capabilities, the tractor must have hydraulics at the front of the tractor, which LS tractors offer. This is a useful piece of equipment that will allow you to quickly deal with even the most snowy area.

LS Tractor + barrel truck

For large ornamental areas that require regular watering, the solution is to combine the LS Tractor with a barrel truck.
