Of course, we are talking about LS tractors. In spring, summer and autumn with their help you can cultivate the ground, mow grass or spray crops. In winter, they help clear the driveway of snow and sprinkle the icy road with a strip. The constant operation of these machines requires them to look neat and tidy, which also affects their efficiency. In today’s article, we will discuss the topic of washing LS tractors. We will tell you how to do it correctly so as not to damage the machine.

Water alone may not be enough

LS tractors working in various weather conditions are exposed to dirt. Mud, pollen and dust settle on the surface and parts of the machine, making it look unattractive. What’s more, leaving the equipment in such a condition can cause its destruction, which is why it is necessary to constantly wash LS tractors and other machines.

Some farmers mistakenly assume that everything can be washed off with water alone. Of course, it is not impossible, but it significantly extends the washing process, and additionally worsens its effectiveness and increases the use of water. Compensating for a lack of detergent by increasing the water pressure or bringing the wash lance closer to the machine may damage the machine’s surface. The use of the right preparation is an important element of cleaning the dirt, because it significantly speeds up the whole process. However, remember to take care of its composition so that you don’t destroy the LS tractor through ignorance.

Price does not always go hand in hand with quality, so choose your washing agents carefully

In farms, preparations with quite aggressive action are most often used, which, although they perfectly remove dirt, at the same time, when used for a long time, cause irreparable damage to the washing surface. The varnish may begin to fade and dull, losing its beautiful appearance. You will also notice the negative effects of these preparations on seals or tires, because micro-cracks will appear there. Using them after a few or a dozen times will disfigure the LS tractors and lead to faster operation of some components.

How to apply a good quality washing agent?

Once you have the right preparation, you should consider its correct application. Two ways are known, namely:

• the use of a foam gun – the only downside of this application is the high consumption of the agent used and the lack of smooth control of the concentration on which we work,
• using a pressure sprayer – this method is very effective because it allows you to control the concentration of the solution. We also have the option of applying it in stages, on individual elements. This allows you to wash every part of the machine on an ongoing basis, preventing the preparation from drying.

Do you know the correct LS tractor washing technique?

Think you just cleaned a large window and you noticed one small stain in the middle of the glass, how do you clean it? You apply the preparation to the visible stain. The same is done when washing LS tractors. The preparation is applied to the dirt and washed under high pressure. Here we have a choice of hot or cold water washers. The former will be much more effective, but their price is higher.

The recommended washing pressure is approximately 150 bar. However, it is best to adapt them individually to the machine yourself. It is important that it is not too large, because it can damage the machine’s components or its components.

Remember! You will achieve the best results by washing the LS tractor from the bottom up. Thanks to this, you do not rinse the agent. On the other hand, when removing the preparation, do it the other way around, which will save water.
